Tajani: "The Russophobic List Is Unacceptable; We Won't Be Intimidated."

ROME (ITALPRESS) – "We summoned the Russian ambassador to the Farnesina yesterday, expressing our profound dismay at this list of proscribed Russophobes, accusations that are completely baseless. It's unacceptable; it's an insult to the entire Italian people. We won't be intimidated by a list from the Russian Ministry." This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani during a press briefing at the Farnesina Crisis Unit. "Defending international law doesn't mean being Russophobic," he observed. "Saying that invading a country is unacceptable has nothing to do with Italian sentiment toward Russia. We have always defended Ukraine, but never once have we said we are at war with Russia. We reject the accusations leveled against us."
